I am in my early 30s working in shipping industry. As an average Singaporean I started to become an active D.I.Y investor in the mid of year 2009 just after the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression of the 1930s. After attended several investment seminars & talks, and reading a lot of interesting investment books, I realized that I can't really depend on others (whether is insurance agent, financial advisor or investment master) to achieve my financial goals. Wealth accumulation should be one’s owns responsibility.
